MEMORIAL DAY:

Memorial Day Mass will be held at Mt. Olivet, St. Andrew, Calvary Kawkawlin, Calvary Midland, St. Anne, and St. Stanislaus.

This event honors those persons who serve or have served their country in one of the Armed Forces with special attention to persons who gave their life in defense of the United States of America.

Please bring lawn chairs for the outdoor masses.

GRAVE BLANKETS AND CHRISTMAS WREATHS

Once again, each cemetery office will make available Christmas wreaths and grave blankets. The proceeds from the sales of these items help us continue to maintain your cemeteries with the dignity that these sacred grounds represent.

Adult Grave Blankets are appropriately decorated. They cost $45.00 plus 6% tax.

Child Grave Blankets are appropriately decorated. They cost $30.00 plus 6% tax.

Christmas Wreaths (not permitted in or around the Mausoleum or niche units) are approximately 25" in diameter, come with a stand, and are appropriately decorated. They cost $25.00 plus 6% tax.

Seasonal decorations may be placed from November 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012.

Special Service: We can place these items on your lot(s). Send a check with your order (add 6% tax) to the cemetery office and list your cemetery, the name of the deceased, the lot and section number, and your telephone number. Please call one of our offices listed on our contact page if you need help identifying a location.

COMMUNITY SERVICES

As an act of charity, the Diocese of Saginaw Catholic Cemeteries in the past year provided Saginaw area families with burial space for 50 infant burials. We provide this service at no cost to families and work in conjunction with Covenant Hospital and Diesler Funeral Home.

During the last year we also performed services for 16 DHS (Department of Human Services) burials.

POEMS AND BOOKLETS

The poems that have been read at the Candlelight Walks over the past years have been very moving and powerful. Many people have requested copies of these poems for themselves or loved ones who were unable to attend. We also have various booklets available at the Candlelight Walks addressing the issue of grief. If you would like a copy of these poems please contact any of our cemeteries.
